Baker, James Gordon was a used and antiquarian bookseller in Dutchess County, New York. Gordon Baker, as he was known, opened his first shop about 1980 in Rhinebeck, NY in a shop on the second floor across Route 9 from the Beekman Arms. Later, he became the Barrytown, NY postmaster and relocated his now severely downsized shop in the post office. The Barrytown Post Office was closed in the 1990s, ending his career in bookselling.
